Abstract The author of the Bachelor Paper Term Formation Patterns in Technical Translation is Sofja Pašina, who is 4th year student of the Professional Bachelor Study Programme of the Institute of Applied Linguists of the Faculty of E-Learning Technologies and Humanities. The paper consist of 157 pages and comprises the following parts: introduction, the theoretical part, the practical part, conclusions, bibliography as well as the glossaries and the source text. The theoretical part consists of two chapters; the first chapter is dedicated to the Development of Terminology Field. In the second chapter, Contemporary Term Formation Patterns are analysed. In the practical part, the translation of the source text from the chosen book “A Sustainable Home Design” is provided in the Russian language. After conducting the research, the author was able to prove the hypothesis of the study, concluding that knowing and understanding the term formation patterns in both the Source and Target language can help translator to provide the reader-friendly and comprehensive translation. Bibliography contains 18 books, 1 internet resource and 7 online translator databases.
