Anotācija The Bachelors Paper has been written by Laura Artuma, 4th year student of Riga Technical University, Institute of Languages, study program "Technical Translation" in the field of Economics. The title of this work is The Analysis of Meaning formation patterns in technical translation in the field of Economics, it deals with the analysis and description of different meaning formation patterns that form in informative texts. The Bachelors Paper consists of two main parts, the theoretical part, and the practical part translation of the source text into Latvian Sherry H. Penny and Patricia Akemi Neilson Next generation leadership: Insights from emerging leaders first published in 2010 by PALGRAVE MACMILLAN, New York, USA. The first part of the theoretical part observes propositions in the source text and in the target text, describes the changes and the author of the Bachelors Paper then tries to analyze discrepancies that are generated during the translation process mostly using observation and descriptive approach. The second and third parts of the theoretical part deal with theory about meaning and how it is broken down to abstract schemas, as in the second part of the theoretical part and how the meaning can be broken down using transitivity systems and network schemas in the third part of the theoretical part, that show the relations between different components of the meaning formation units, like the actor, receiver, circumstances etc. The author of the Bachelors Paper then draws conclusions from practical analysis using a descriptive approach and empiric analysis. The Bachelors Paper consists of 105 pages including a table of contents, abstract, introduction, conclusion, bibliography of 28 books, 3 online dictionaries and 5 online dictionaries and appendices.
