| Anotācija |
Abstract
The Bachelor Paper is written by Julia Safranovica, the 4th year student of Riga Technical University, Institute of Languages. The author of the Bachelor Paper specializes in translation of the texts in economics. The theme of theoretical part is “Translation of Terminology in the Field of Economics”. The analysis will be dedicated to the researching and rendering of business-economic text.
The Bachelor Paper consists of two main parts: the theoretical and the practical part. In the theoretical part the author provides the definition of terminology and analyses variable examples; the difficulties aligned with translation of economic texts are shown and examined as well as practical examples of lexical relations are provided. Besides, the diversity of terminology is illustrated in the Bachelor Paper (theoretical part). The practical part comprises the translation of the book of a famous journalist Alex Brummer “The Crunch: How Greed and Incompetence Sparked the Credit Crisis” from English into Russian.
Variable resources for translating and investigating the work are used. In the process of translation, the translator has used many dictionaries as monolingual as bilingual to enrich the vocabulary and find out the proper meaning of the term. While translating online dictionaries are mainly used as there are many terms and expressions.
The Bachelor Paper amounts to 100 pages including introduction, two main parts, conclusion, bibliography, which consists of 38 sources. The Paper also includes two Appendices (Glossary of Terms, Glossary of Context Dependent Lexical Items and Glossary of Abbreviations and Source Text). |
