Anotācija The research aims to lay emphasis on the concepts of Blockchain and Digital Twin and other technologies that could help the Maritime Industry when put together in achieving a common goal which is to have an efficiency in global trade and reducing ill effects on the Environment. Thorough research has been made with literature reviews and the author’s personal experience in the Maritime Industry. The research has been made on the Maritime Industry, its related supply chains, the current issues faced such as High lead time, huge loads of paper trails, Environment Pollution and to solve these issues, mentioned are the current developments made by the regulatory bodies. Concluding the research, a platform is proposed by the author combining Blockchain and Digital twin which has a dual focus towards the running of a smooth business and secondly to have a vessel running efficiently and complying with the regulations set. The given proposed platform aims to be useful for the big players in the Maritime Industry and IT wherein it could be a massive step in improving global trade and help them in their ventures of protecting the environment. The master thesis contains 78 pages, 22 images, 3 tables, and 72 reference sources.
