Anotācija The theme of the academical bachelor's paper developed is “Next generation wireless communication systems”, author of the paper is Ahmad Hassan, a third-year student of RTU ETF AEBM0. Scientific supervisor – associate professor, Dr.sc.ing, A. Āboltiņš The objective of the academical bachelor thesis is to research a glimpse of the prospects of wireless communication 5g, 6g, etc. In the practical part, compare and practically verify the performance of different generations of data transmission systems (UMTS, HDSPA, LTE). The theoretical part of this study deals with sources of theoretical literature, necessity of the theme, prospects of modernization of all previous generations to future communication networks possibilities of using the radio frequancy spectrum in future network technologies. The practical of this study is to observe the capabilities of future wireless network technologies, generating LTE uplink signals in reference measurement channel (RMC) generator, generating LTE downlink signals in RMC generator, throughput and performance measurements for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system by sending up to 8 data streams in parallel provided both the eNodeB the UE has 8 or more antennas while simulating 2 user equipment (UEs) to transmit a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) format 1 and format 2 from the second UE. Additionally, the demodulation of LTE signals to see a clear peak identification for correlation and so Cell ID frame timing after that the Master Information Block (MIB) information extraction, is demonstrated. These simulations are made using MATLAB LTE System Toolbox and most of the results are reflected in figures for illustration of correlation, frame timing of channel estimation by eNodes, transmission and reception of PUCCH formats. Bachelor Thesis is developed in Riga, written in English on 60 pages, including 19 pictures and 2 tables.
