Anotācija Dynamic compaction is one of the most well-known methods for improving soil properties at present. Dynamic compaction (DC) method, also known as dynamic consolidation, is a safe and cost effective method. DC is used in a various type of soil conditions, but it is most suitable in sandy type of soil. In bachelor’s work, DC method evaluated by CPT and DMT proves its effectiveness through comparing constrained modulus results in pre and post-compaction stage and calculating foundation settlement. Normalized parameter values of CPT has significance to correlate its values with corrected parameters of DMT. Average ratio values of DMT and CPT would be a great solution in terms of analysing DC for the more dramatic flow has results, the clearer increase of constrained modulus could be noticed, and it is a critical to choose a better test among the two when DC method is applied. There are a lot of ways to analyse shallow foundation settlement, two basic methods are introduced in the paper. Using Boussinesq's method and Terzaghi's principle has an advantage in terms of its popularity of use worldwide and its simpleness. Schmertmann's method is also one of the most popular methods in the world at present. Bachelor’s work reviews how much foundation settlement gets decreased after DC method by the summation method based on the method and principle mentioned above. Each researched zone has different soil properties, therefore improvement results of soil condition by DC method are all different. Through analysing settlement calculations, it could be founded that DC method is more suitable in sand type of soil than clay type of soil. Engineering project, warehouse and office building construction in Riga, is designed in crossroad between Bauskas street and Valdlauču street in Zemgale suburb in Riga. Engineering project contains its structural element calculation also including architectural part, engineering network solutions, comparison of structural variations, construction organization and technology descriptions, work protection and work safety techniques, and general summary of construction cost. Engineering project also contains 10 A1 size drawings indicating graphical solutions.
