Darbā ir apskatīta lielo elektroenerģētisko sistēmu esošā situācija Eiropā, kā arī to attīstības plāni un sistēmu apvienošanās koncepcijas. Darbā ir apraksts par starpvalstu elektrisko saišu veidiem, to tehnoloģiskais un ekonomiskais salīdzinājums.
