| Abstract |
The author of this bachelor paper is Karina Astrjakova, the fourth-year student. The title of this term paper is Decision Making in the Process of Translation. Choice of Words: Topicality and Fashion. The text is taken from the book The Future of the Internet and How to Stop it by Jonathan L. Zittrain and the translated part is Chapter 3: Solutions. The author of the book writes about Internet facts, about growing and increasingly dangerous things that are happening there. The author provides answers to the different questions about the Net and its future.
The problem under consideration of this work may be described in the following way: which are the main concepts that help a translator in the process of translation and decision making. How to achieve a good translation, make right choice of words and solve translation problems. It is important to find the answer, what is helpful in choosing the appropriate translation, appropriate words in the situations when auxiliary materials cannot help. It is significant to know how to avoid different mistakes or slips and find problem solutions.
The work consists of 100 pages, it comprises introduction, theoretical part, practical part, conclusion and bibliography. Also the work includes appendices where glossaries and a source text are presented. |
