Abstract The thesis is devoted to design and study of inverters to convert DC to high-frequency AC with high efficiency. Chapter 1 presents detailed description of operating principles and schematic diagrams of different types of inverters used in power electronics. Design of the wirelessly-controlled inverter is described and simulations are done in Chapter 2. Experimental results and some examples of applications of the designed inverter are presented in Chapter 3. Finally, conclusions are presented. The thesis is 57 pages long, it has 23 references in the reference list, it has 20 figures, 10 tables and three annexes.
