Abstract |
The work has been written by George Temis, the 4th year student of Riga Technical University, Institute of Languages, study program Technical Translation. As the author specializes in the field of economics, the paper will be dedicated to rendering and analyzing an economic text in innovation.
The bachelor paper consists of 173 pages, including a table of contents, introduction, two main parts, conclusion and bibliography. For translation in the practical part was taken the text written by three famous activists and journalists in the sphere of business innovation development: Michael Lord, Donald deBethizy and Jeffrey Wager Innovation that Fits: Moving Beyond the Fads to Choose the RIGHT Innovation Strategy for Your Business. The theme of the theoretical part is Different Approaches to Textual Analysis in the Process of Translation, where three approaches to the translation have been described and analyzed.
Variable resources have been used for translation and analysis. In the process of translation, variable dictionaries have been used; internet dictionaries and explanatory web-sites have been analyzed to find an appropriate translationexplanation of the specific term.
Proving the hypothesis and creating the analysis of translation of the bachelor paper author widely used materials written by famous translation theorists and linguists. The analysis is based on the materials written by P. Newmark, K. Reiss, M. F. Graves, C. Nord, J. Vermer, I. Zauberga, etc. For the purposes of correct and independent translation the book written by Donald deBethizy in the sphere of economics has been taken as a parallel text. |
