| Abstract |
The aim of this research is to analyze the firm performance by implementing green supply chain management (GSCM) practices. This paper helps to create an environmental awareness among the industries and also helps to assist the industries with the scarce knowledge of supply chain management in making decisions prioritize to the area.
Part-1 of the Master thesis discusses the concept of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) Practices in Small scale industries in India. It also discusses about the Theoretical background, objectives and the problems faced while implementing the concepts of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices in Small Scale industries in India.
Part-2 of the Master thesis discusses about the Conceptual Framework for implementing Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) practices in Small Scale Industries in India. It also discusses about the Research Framework and Hypotheses Development and Research methodology.
Part-3 of the Master thesis discusses about the Data Analysis from the data obtained from the Questionnaire distributed to the owners of SMEs in India and Interpretation using Demographic Data.
The conclusions and proposals resulting after the research are:
• Many SMEs in India are aware about the GSCM practices but they are not implemented it due to the lack of support from the management, suppliers and employees.
• Thus, assistance to the industries with lack of knowledge in SMEs in terms of environmental, economic and organizational performance.
• This study motivates SMEs to adopt GSCM practices, so that they can realize its advantages in terms of environment, economic and organizational performance. |
