Abstract |
This master thesis is written in the English language which consists of Flow simulation analysis on different design, also done comparative analysis by reviewing research work.
In the first part of thesis, we’ll discuss about electric vehicle which are upcoming future in automobile industry. These Electric vehicles includes-Electric motor, Lithium-ion Battery, DC-DC converter, Electric motor module. So as per conventional (gasoline) vehicle, the electric vehicles drives less then it due to not proper heat management and other losses. Here in this work, it involves thermal management of Electric vehicle which mainly focuses only on Electric Motor.to get maximum output form the electric Motor its need to operate under working temperature as it is done in conventional internal combustion engine. There are different types cooling available Active Cooling and Passive Cooling. Passive Cooling is used in this paper which involves circulation of fluid inside the frame of Electric motor and taking all heat from the Motor and after it goes to radiator where the fluid gets cool down using Electric Pump.
In the second part Different types of design are analysed in this work, flow simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is used to get desired results according the input and boundary condition. Also, Nanofluid (Al2O3) is introduced during simulation which in turn will help to increase more heat transfer. During the analysis parametric study is performed.
In the third part, Result is discussed by comparing all output we got during analysis and describe all information. |
