Abstract The master thesis examines concepts of digital transformation in process of small and medium scale enterprises. The thesis contains structured information regarding the components, architecture, benefits, and drawbacks of digital transformation, as well as it pays attention to applicable ways of using electronic commerce for small and medium scale enterprises. The master thesis describes, one area of development in which countries are centred on leading is the digital transformation of their manufacturing sector. Digital transformation is a strategic goal process that involves incorporating, connecting, and modifying processes and systems within an enterprise to allow new business approaches that produce new revenues, new values, and broaden opportunities. As a result, the aim of digital transformation is to create technologically innovative solutions that help people and companies function more effectively and efficiently. Taking into account results of the research and survey data of comparative analysis of SMEs in UK and China, the master thesis offers applicable way for integration of digital transformation customization and adaptive capability processes of small and medium size enterprises. The master thesis contains 78 pages, 26 images, 21 tables, 46 reference sources, and 5 appendixes.
