Mēs visi zinām, cik svarīga ir enerģija, neatkarīgi no tā formas, bet vissvarīgākais, kā to panākt, enerģijas pārveidošana palīdz izmantot enerģiju ierīču darbībā. Enerģija tiek pārveidota no vienas formas uz otru un paliek rezervēta. Piemēram, kinētisko enerģiju var pārvērst elektroenerģijā caur ventilatoriem un izmantot elektroenerģijas ražošanai.
