Abstract SIMULATION, OPTIMIZATION, MODERN ENTERPRISES, SUSTAINABILITY The master thesis illuminates insights on the simulation and optimization software that used in the modern logistics enterprises. The thesis contains relevant information about the features, architecture and technologies used in the simulation and optimization software’s applied in logistics sector. The analysis and comparison of the different software platform helps in integrating simulation and optimization tools for solving current issues in modern logistics enterprises. The case study focuses on a major issue that should be focused in the modern logistics enterprises. The case study put forwards the attention that should be given to a sustainability driven modern logistics enterprises taking into consideration the emission factors involved in logistics. The realisation of the case study is performed using an optimization model within the Heuristic lab optimization software. The master thesis contains 83 pages, 26 Figures, 6 tables and 69 reference sources.
