Sinhronas dzinējus iedala dzinējos ar elektromagnētisko ierosmi, ar pastāvīgajiem magnētiem,reaktīvajos,histerēzes un citos dzinējos.
Šajā darbā analizēti sinhronie reaktīvie dzinēji, to konstrukcijas un īpatnības.
Svarīgākās sinhrono reaktīvo dzinēju priekšrocības: mazāki gabarīti un masa,mazāki enerģijas zudumi un lielāks lietderības koeficients, viņi ir drošāki un lētāki.
