ABSTRACT
Ukpeojor Sunday G. “Evaluation of personnel in an enterprise”: Master Thesis/ Ukpeojor Sunday G., V. Šatrevičs, Lect., Dr.oec. – Riga: Riga Technical University, Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, Institute of Economics of Production and Entrepreneurship, Foreign Students Department, master program „Entrepreneurship and Management” 2017. This master thesis consists of 84 pages, 15 figures, 15 tables and 54 references.
Object of research is personnel’s efficiency at the enterprise. The basic goal of research is evaluation of personnel’s efficiency at the enterprise with the help of researches like qualification, motivation, productivity, and wages of personnel. Methods of research are analysis of personnel, financial results, researches of market share.
Importance and factors of influence of personnel’s evaluation on economic success and stability of enterprise functioning were considered in the diploma project. Evaluations of personnel’s efficiency were made in this master’s thesis project. Features, advantages and disadvantages were also considered. The wide range of benefits and immense contribution in any company or organizations growth.
The analytical part involves literature analysis and gives general reviews, evaluation, and explains the need and importance of evaluating employees at all levels. Enterprise risk factors and risk management is discussed in this part.
The theoretical part gives vital reasons for personnel evaluation and some applicable appraisal software and method is discussed. Besides, workplace risk factors and implementation of a safe working environment is evaluated.
The third part, scientific and practical part, focuses on the actual practical realization of the first two parts, how it can be functional. Novelty proof was expressed with information provided by the authors source from Nike Inc. Lagos. Further analysis is done and figuratively and shown with some simple calculations that’s shows the difference in salaries of workers compensated and those not compensated. Also the further expression is given on the importance of labor protection and it effect on workers, employers and the enterprise as a whole.
