| Abstract |
The author of the Bachelor Paper is Artur Arutyunov, the fourth-year student of the Professional Bachelor Study Programme “Technical Translation”. The theme of the Bachelor Paper is as follows: “Terminology in Translation of Technical Texts (Field of Telecommunications)”.
The Bachelor Paper consists of the introduction, theoretical part, practical part, conclusion, bibliography and appendices, which comprise the glossary of terms and the source text.
In the theoretical part the author examines the notion of text types, studies the concept of terminology, provides classification of terms and discusses different translation methods and techniques. The theoretical part is supported with examples from the practical part. The practical part comprises a translated text from the book by Daniel Battu (2014): New Telecom Networks, Chapter from 4 to 6, published by john Willey & Sons, Inc., p. 119-177. |
