Abstract |
Micro, Small and Medium-sized enterprises are called backbone of economy of every country in the world. In India, MSMEs play a vital role in national economy too. MSMEs have been globally considered as unique employer and key of development. In India these business are 2nd largest employer after agriculture. The major advantage of MSMEs are its employment potential of low capital cost. The government and regulators have also recognized the fact and introduced various policy measures to help MSMEs to grow rapidly. No economy in the world can hope to survive without a robust MSMEs ecosystem.
But still there are lot of problems are faced by MSMEs in India such as lack of finance, old and obsolete technology, supply chain inefficiencies, increasing competition and poor management. This is the reason thousands of MSMEs are closing down every year. To survive with such issues, to keep sustainable performance and compete with large and global enterprises, they need to adopt new technologies and innovative approaches in their operations. It is believed that performance measurement tools can help to find weaknesses, clarify objectives, strategies and management processes.
In this research work author try to explain the solution to keep MSMEs alive with the help of performance measurement tools and other tools such as ratio analysis, PESTLE analysis, SWOT analysis and methods. After choosing the suitable method author focused on to implement the tools so-that enterprise can take maximum benefit from that particulars tools.
In the end, based on the research work author reached on some conclusion such as finance and human resources are two main factors which exist in both type of environment i.e. external environment and internal environment the limitation of both factors in environment can be dangerous alarm for any type of business. Factors influencing an enterprise performance from interrelations of conceptual impact. These are most important factors which can endanger of MSMEs and provide new opportunities for these enterprises. Technology has also its significant role to maintain the sustainable performance mostly it can be seen that due to lack of money MSMEs are helpless to use old technology. Different type of model according to nature of the business (manufacturing business or service business) are suggested and the relationship between performance measurement tools and performance of enterprises has been crucially described. |
