Abstract |
The present study provides an overview on what Learning and Development (L&D) activities are, how these activities should be organized in a company according to theoretical frameworks and what kind of benefits they deliver for an organization. The purpose of this study is to compare the theoretical concepts related to L&D and real implementation of L&D activities in companies. In order to understand to which extent companies follow theoretical frameworks, the present research will include a case study held in the Latvian company, SIA Storent. Main findings from L&D activities in these companies will enable us to see to which extent do managers rely on theoretical concepts and frameworks when making decisions on trainings design and implementation as well as show how do they analyze the results and whether they adjust L&D techniques afterwards. |
